Sweaty Weekend Fun!!

Get your minds out of the gutter! My sweaty weekend fun involved a lot of hard, manual labor and this:

Cypress Mulch. It was as though the Fates knew I'd need some because it was on sale at Home Depot! Wahoo!

But this little project is going to take some time and a few more pictures to explain and give it the attention it deserves! So I hope to be back very soon with the full scoop!

Oh, the fun didn't stop there... my Rockstar Team (Mom and Brother) helped with a few cleanup projects in the back yard, gutter cleaning, and got me started on my bedroom overhaul (finally!). More on that later too!

Did you work on any big projects this weekend??

I hope to work on the guest bedroom this week to get it ready for painting, then paint this weekend. Because it's a long weekend, maybe I can get some weeding done in the back yard too. But first, a night off from manual labor so I can relax a bit after this past weekend!

Yes! You deserve to rest! You worked hard & then had to drive back home! But I appreciate it. :) And as always we had a few good laughs.

I would come help you this weekend but I realized I will be on call. :( Since K-Dog is also out of town & it's summer, I have no one else for back-up. Boo. :(

PS...I think I will also be doing lots of work...taking advantage of that Home Depot paint rebate!

We have been working on Ben's room for over a week. So last weekend, we finished painting the walls and trim. That's as far as we got. Last night, Mom shampooed the carpet, I'm going to touch up some paint on the trim this morning and put it back together tonight! I bought new curtains last night--from Target. Yup, took the comforter in to match the color RED. Can't wait for Ben to be back in his own room and out of the living room! I'm also having a rummage sale Th/Friday so I've got some tagging to do! Yikes!! Better get on it!
