WTF?!?

OK seriously... work has heated up real quick-like. I was expecting it and it still feels like my head is spinning. Wowza.

There were a couple of times today that I felt really unsure of myself and at a loss... like I once again lost the ever-elusive "Mo Jo". Maybe it's just on the fritz, I'm not sure, but I hate the feeling. Even worse, though, is when Doubt lurks just around the corner. I really don't want to have Doubt hanging around- he's too clingy, overstays his welcome, and makes me nervous. Bleh.

Do you ever have moments/days/weeks like that?

In my line of work it's really important for me to take good care of myself and recharge my batteries often. And for about a week or so I've been thinking that I need to recharge, but I'm having a hard time doing that right now. I have so many things going on. And with studying for my licensing exam, I am literally dealing with work-related stuff more often than not. Even my obsession with cooking has quieted down...which means my eating and snacking isn't going as well as it was. And gosh darn it, I've been failing miserably at my repeated resolution to walk the dogs more often. Plus, I'm not sure exactly what I need in order to recharge this time. What do you do to recharge?

I like taking naps and making lists. It keeps me organized, and I like to see that I'm staying on task and accomplishing something as I cross off each item. In fact, sometimes I will add things that I've already done that weren't on my list just so I can see that there are more things with a big fat line through them. I love it. Otherwise, I'm a work-a-holic apparently and become crabby when I have nothing to do, so I'm not sure I'm the best person to help you recharge. With that said, just try to focus on the things you have to get done and the dog thing can wait... just run them around their huge new yard, they'll be fine!

Geez. I thought about telling you to forget about the dogs, that they get enough exercise running in the back yard anyway BUT, I think that exercise would do you good too. Just taking them for a walk will help you to focus, burn some steam, etc. etc. I always feel better after a run...well, once I catch my breath that is. I think that to recharge, I might take a nap, listen to music, treat myself with something I like (hot choc., a book, a tubby, a magazine). Just a few ideas...hang in there...love you.

This is me all the time. Hope you get through it and get some time to rest.

I know! You need to set up your scrapbook stuff! The spare room will work out just perfect. You can go in there for 15 min. or an hour but it would be fun to do that and to feel like you're accomplishing something too:-)

Thanks for all the great ideas! We'll see how things go...I think it will be better once I get my room done.
