A Gift From Afar

My new friend and coworker, T, gave me a present! This beautiful shawl from India. Yup, directly from India. Her mom picked out a couple for me and my other coworker and then we chose one at work last week. The other one was black and white and also very beautiful! Tough choice!

These pictures don't really do it justice. It seems the color is a bit different in each picture...and it probably doesn't help that I took these with my phone, at night, with bright white lighting. Regardless, it's pretty.

Isn't the detail amazing?

T showed us a couple ways we could wear it, but she told us she usually wears hers as scarves. So, that's what I did- folded it up lengthwise a couple of times and wore it as a pretty scarf. Love it!

Thanks T!! And T's mom! :)
